Angie Lewin
Thanks to fellow blogger, Bloesem for this fantastic find. Artist Angie Lewin hails from the UK. She has a master degree in print making and has studied silk screening, lithography, and etching, Angie now focuses on lino, woodcut and wood engraving. I really love her work. Her colors and style remind me of vintage Scandinavian designs, but are still uniquely her own.
Angie has entered the world of textile design with a couple of designs available through St. Judes. Mounted prints are available through various UK galleries listed here. These are a couple of my favorites. This first print is called Beach with Alexanders. It’s available at Artonomy. The second is called Teasel (what a great name!) and can be purchased from the Birchman Gallery. Her prints aren’t large (Beaches with Alexanders is only 4″ x 5″) so if you order be sure to check the size first.
