Art from Artecnica
Did you know that a light bulb in the lighting world is called a lamp? (Just a little insider information there.) I really like this pendant (which use an Edison A lamp) from Artecnica. It comes in lots of colors and is made from Tyvec, the same “fabric” used for mailing envelopes.
Artecnica also makes this really cool curtain, which also comes in lots of colors. I’ve seen a similar thing from Moroso. Of course there’s a slight difference in quality and price. But it’s the same amount of fun, if you ask me.
Here’s another pendant I love. It casts a shadow of different figures. These are all so much fun and retail for under $100. The light fixtures are available at moss and all of the above are available from Linear right here in Detroit. Linear’s web site isn’t up yet, so give them a call.
