Chair of the Day
The votes are in! Design Within Reach announced the winners of its annual Champagne Chair Contest, which is sponsored by champagne producer Veuve Clicquot. Grand Prize was awarded to the Cantilever Block by Adam Weisgerber of Seattle, Washington.
The Kleeko Chair (above) by Stacie Matrka of Columbus, Ohio earned second place.
The Most Popular Award was determined by public vote to be Chair Squared by Edward Cristman of San Rafael, California. Winners and runners up will be featured in DWR locations across the country in a tour which opens in San Francisco on March 8. Check out the DWR website for details.
Personally, I think the Kleeko Chair should have won. I like it much more than the dog-ugly chunky thang. What do you think?
