Chair of the Day

Okay, today it’s Arne Jacobsen’s Swan Chair. This is indeed a classic, beautiful chair. But there is something to be said about too much of a good thing. I say, “Enough already!” Mid-century modern is groovy and all that, but I’ve had enough. I think the Swan Chair and its friends need to go away for awhile. Here’s the only problem: I know that when we’re done with the 1950′s the 1980′s are going to come back. I keep hearing about it. When that happens I’m moving to another planet. (And I know I posted about a different mid-century number a few days ago. What can I say? I liked the doodles).
