Chair of the Day

I’ve taken a bend in the road the past few days for a variety of reasons. But am now feeling fit and am back to blogging. Ahhhh, it feels good. So, in honor of being pliable once more, here is the Bend chair. It was designed by Marten Claesson in 2000 for Swedese and is constructed of laminated birch or walnut. By laminated I mean it’s like plywood – several layers glued together. And for those of you who are like me, it even comes with a pad.

I’m seeing so much natural wood furniture these days. It was an emerging trend a couple of years ago in Milan. I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who fell in love with it. You can buy Bend at Mezzanine.
