Chair of the Day: Minotti’s Phillips Chair

Here is the very beautiful Phillips Chair from the Italian company, Minotti. It was designed by Rodolfo Dordoni. The cover is made from either fabric or leather and is removable. I chose this particular chair because it shows how one design inspires another. I’m referring to last week’s posts featuring 2 cantilevered chairs from the Bauhaus.

Minotti’s site strongly recommends against purchasing its furniture via the Internet. They aren’t officially sanctioned by Minotti. The agent in the United States is Anna Avedano, e-mail: annaavedano@hotmail.com.

I really like these chairs. They look easy to vacuum and when the covers get dirty you can replace them. My dining room chairs have stains on them.
