De La Espada & The Natural Wood Trend

I wrote in my post on sinks from Agape about an emerging trend in the US toward the use of natural wood finishes. Check out another example from De La Espada and a great new find. As they say on their site:

De La Espada has an affinity for solid timber and an ability to create furniture that is at once modern and traditional. Each piece stands the test of time both aesthetically and physically through timeless lines and superb structural stability. The expressive individuality of solid oak and walnut combined with sleek forms gives our furniture a unique modernist aesthetic. We like to think of it as warm modernism.

They’ve been in business for over 10 years. Their furniture is constructed in Spain and their flagship store opened in London. They’ve just announced the opening of a new location in LosAngeles. Why not Detroit? We’re cool. We’re hip. Techno was born here for crying out loud!

But I digress. It was 70 degrees out today, so I’ve got Sunshine Shock. Anyway, the beautiful sideboard, in oak, is a mere $6,095 retail. The equally beautiful dining table in oak is $3,645 retail. Check out their site, and follow that trend! I love the look.
