Fabricteria Maki Opens an Interiors Line
Fabricteria Maki was founded in 2001 in New York City by Maki Yamamoto. She’s well known in the fashion world (at the couture level) for her innovative fabrics. She’s now entering the world of interior design with a line of custom drapery panels and ready made pillows.
The panels can be used as window treatments, space dividers, wall hangings, or bed spreads. Each piece is custom designed and hand sewn. You can visit her site here. You need to call to make an appointment. I’m sure this is pricey, but if you can afford it, it would be like having a couture gown hanging on your windows. And it will stay in style a lot longer.
