FLOR Hooking up With Martha

It seems you can run but you can’t hide from Martha Stewart. No matter what you think of her, she certainly gets around. Now she’s teamed up with FLOR to create her own line of carpet squares. I actually think this is a smart thing for FLOR to do.

FLOR makes it very easy to design your own carpet. But most people need help doing this. So it’s Martha to the rescue. Personally, I liked the funky quality of FLOR and hope that won’t turn into Martha Old Lady Green. To view her new line go here. And remember, FLOR discounts to the trade and will send full-sized samples.

I really like FLOR’s concept, but I wish it were less expensive. You could order a “wall-to-wall” carpeting cut and bound as a rug for a lot less money. But FLOR’s style is hard to beat. I’d love to hear your opinion on FLOR in general. Is it too expensive? Too difficult to figure out? And, does Martha go with FLOR? Do tell!

My wife and I took delivery of FLOR carpet tile for our game room downstairs about a month ago. We’re planning on touching up the paint first and then we’ll put down the tiles. We’re hoping that it will be as easy as it appears in the videos at their site.

Definitely a bit pricey, but we think they will be perfect for the basement. It occasionally gets some water (every couple of years when there is a really big storm). Since the tiles are easy to lift and wash we figured that would be a pretty good solution.

I can fill you in on the installation. I used a commercial version of FLOR for a show house room a couple of years ago and installed it by myself. It was very easy – even doing it alone.
