Great Fabrics from Maharam

Maraham is a textile company that’s been around for over a century. Their fabrics are used a lot in commercial projects, but there’s nothing industrial about their fabrics. They’re beautiful and innovative. Herman Miller uses them a lot. You can check out their website here. You have to be a professional to order anything. If you’re interested in anything you see on their site, email me!

In the meantime, here are some new fabrics that I especially like.

Oddly named AF96, this is one fabric fused to another.

Waxed Cotton Leno is an open weave. Great for a window treatment.
Boucle Leno is a classic leno weave. Loops of mohair give it a 3-dimensional look.

Intricate offers a lacy look without being too frou-frou.

Melange Tweed is warmly woolly. Cover a chair and have a skirt made to match.

Precisely looks to menswear for its inspiration. Great for pillows or on a sofa.

What’s your favorite?

hi there,
I noticed that you have the maharamas boucle leno textile on your site. I fell in love with that material when visiting the Woodstock Inn and Spa in Woodstock, VT. They had beautiful window coverings made from it. I have been wondering how to go about obtaining the fabric as well as pricing it out.
thanks so much,
Kara

Maraham is sold through the trade. Ask your local interior designer to get a quote for you. Or, I can get one for you. Email me at Jennifer Mitchell Design [at] gmail.com. It’s all one word. I’ve spaced it out to avoid spam. Talk to you soon!
