Hand Hooks from Moss

Moss won’t grow on these hooks from Moss. Get it? Well, it’s Monday and I’m waiting for the plumber so take pity on my weak sense of humor today.
Anyway, I thought these were pretty cool, and kind of creepy. They’re obviously hooks that look like hands. A series of these is a must. One all alone won’t work. Put two up and place them so they look anatomically correct. I promise you, you’ll jump every time you walk in the room.
My husband used to have this little boy mannequin he used for a conjoined twin costume. He stored it in a closet and every time I opened it I had a heart attack. And if this isn’t a sales pitch I don’t know what is. These helping hands were designed by Harry Allen for Areaware and retail for $75. Again, you can kind them at Moss.

Thanks! I should interview an anthropologist about why we’re creeped out by human parts used for, say, toilet paper holders! Great idea by the way.

I bought these for wheredidyoubuythat.com when I owned it, I love Harry Allen’s designs.
I once had to revamp a restaurant toilet and I used mannequin hands to hold the toilet rolls. People used to be so spooked by it.
Thanks for your hilarious comment on my blog. Love your chair of the week posts so clever.
