Marimekko Moves Into Furnishings
The New York Times reports that the Finnish design house, Marimekko has added a line of home furnishings to their reinvigorated line of fabrics. The Ro tray table (designed by Bjorn Dahlstrom) layers his Ro leaf pattern between plywood and a lacquered top. It sits on a chromed steel stand and comes in another Marimekko design called Onni. The table will be available at Marimekko’s US stores or online later this spring. $250 retail.
