Rich New Lighting from Ingo-Maurer
Axel Schmid, a member of the lighting design group headed by Ingo-Maurer, has introduced a series called 24 Karat Blau. Incandescent light is filtered through gold leaf sandwiched between plastic held together with a metal framework. The light emitted creates a blue glow. The series includes a single hanging pendant, a larger pendant, and a table lamp. They’re available at the Ingo-Maurer shop on Greene and Grand in New York, or through your favorite designer.

I am currently designing an appartement with a contemporary minimalist feel, which has sweeping views of the city sky-line and this lighting fixture looks like a piece from The Museum of Modern Art.It is perfect for the dining area of this appartement. Thanks for the great idea.
