Ashtrays
I wish I could think of an adaptive reuse for ashtrays.
No one is supposed to be smoking any more (not me!), so I guess they’ve become useless. Of course, people will start collecting them. That doesn’t count.
We have to put our heads together and think of a way to make ashtrays useful again. For example, when my mother-in-law passed away, we inherited these weird glasses and a matching cigarette box. Arthur told me the glasses were for holding cigarettes. His mom filled them with Kents (all the rage back then) and put them on the dining room table for smart dinner parties. Today, I use them as little flower vases for all my smart dinner parties.
I like the idea of putting your cigarette out into a bunch of flowers (see above). Maybe we should all just start smoking again. Just kidding. Children could be reading this.
The best idea I can come up with is a dip receptacle. Not very visionary. But it’s been a long working day. What are your ideas?

My mother-in-law seemed to think that anything and everything would make a good lamp. So I say turn them into lamps. Don’t ask me how.
