Bamboo Tower Chandelier
What a difference a shade makes – or doesn’t. I saw this Bamboo Tower Chandelier in this month’s Coastal Living and thought, “cool.” I like the lightness of it, the color, and the price (a steal at $295 from Shades of Light).
Shades of Light would like to suggest some shades to go with that fixture. Egads. This is where a good eye comes in handy.
Sometimes, a shade is terrific. But not in this case. See how the simplicity and elegance of the chandelier is weighed down by them? Please, step away from the frou-frou.

This is another great example of a positive trend in chandeliers. In the past chandeliers were taken as a symbol of status even more than there usefulness as a lightning fixture. Therefore it grew into complicated and very grand. Lately there has been the movement towards simplicity, which makes chandeliers fit into our modern homes and modern thoughts.
