Branch Studio
It’s freezing here in beautiful Detroit. Sub-zero temperatures today. Nevertheless, I’m venturing out to meet up with a gardening group. So while Spring might not be in the air, it’s on my mind, which brings me to Branch.
Branch is a studio located here in Detroit. They design and fabricate amazing things for the garden, including pots and planters, furniture, structures, sculpture and ornament in a variety of media – all created by hand.
Branch is an extension of their sister company, Detroit Garden Works. All their designs are limited editions. And many are one-of-a-kind pieces. If you’re into Faux Bois, this is the place to go.
They also make rustic tables like the one above – one of my favorites. To me it evokes a dream of long lunches under a shady pergola (because it’s a hot, hot day – the kind I like) with all my friends and great food. Sigh. The ice on my windows isn’t conforming to this daydream for some reason.
Branch Studio is located in Pontiac, at 355 South Sanford. They also offer a design service to help you plan the garden of your dreams. Speaking of which, I’m off to do my gardening thing. Has anyone seen my green thumb? I know I left it around here somewhere.
