Chair of the Day: Coffin Couch
I’ve officially seen everything. Coffin couches are made from real coffins collected from funeral homes in Southern California which have “slight cosmetic inconsistencies”. They have not been dug up, which frankly I think would make them a lot more interesting. Apparently health laws preclude selling used coffins. Dang.
Coffin Couches have several models (one in a pony pattern), all made from 18-gauge steel. Sturdy! According to the company, the fact that these are recycled makes them green. Now I’ve heard it all, too.
Know any vampires who might be interested in one?

CREE-PEE.

Call me twisted but I love it. http://www.coffincouches.com There are five different models available. My favorites are the ‘red baron’ and ‘low rider.’ Although kinda gross that a dead gal/girl has been lying there for a while, I really doubt there any risk of getting sick or turning into a zombie. The funeral industry is seriously UNenvironmentally friendly so it’s nice to see someone recycling a perfectly useable product that would otherwise be trash. I doubt it would fit in a room full of antiques or IKEA junk, but there is certainly a look that this would go with. Goth modern… Aadams family… vampire cave… I’m a huge fan. I getting one for my office. I’m a psychiatrist… kidding. $3500 + plus shipping (they weigh 900 lbs)
