Chair of the Day: Cubert Chair
Sorry, but I look at the Cubert Chair and see flashbacks of really bad Frat parties I attended in college. Don’t know why. Maybe someone can clue me in.
The only other thing I have to say is, “You spent $1,800 for this?“

I couldn’t have said it better myself. When I look at this chair I see old beer cans and lots of crumbs stashed under the cushion. (Don’t ask me how I know these things). It’s the chip board that really gets me. And the price is a laugh!

Great comments lol! I wish you could have posted them on my blog. This chair was an experiment; other options available align more with your comments. Keep watching my site for more “good times” furniture.

Is that particle board?!?

It’s the (looking like) unfinished chip board on the sides, creating the lazy-ass magazine racks, combined with the color which looks more like something scavenged than something decided upon in the context in which that photo is placed.
Think about it- keep the color. Upgrade the fabric to an ultrasuede. get rid of the chip board and put in something a bit nicer looking, say in an espresso stain. Put some feet on the whole thing (even little ones) so it’s not sitting right on the ground like some kind of craft project. And then put it in a better setting for the photo (just stage the photo better- hell, you’ve written for MH, you know what I mean.)
All of a sudden the chair is fine.
