Chair of the Day: Grange
I’m in a French mood today. I spent part of my day resting my back (which went wonky this morning) and watching Marion Cotillard in La Vie en Rose. She won the best actress award at last night’s Academy Awards. Marion’s performance was amazing. I’ve always enjoyed listening to Edith Piaf, but never knew anything about her all too short life.
This is a rather lengthy way of introducing this French chair from Grange. I like the way Grange is trying to update their styles. They have a bit of a stodgy reputation. But sometimes the ‘ole tried-and-true classics fit the bill perfectly.
This medallion chair is a perfect case in point. It’s completely classic, yet looks fresh with the more contemporary striped fabric. I love mixing contemporary pieces with antiques. They give a room a more original, personal look.
