Chair of the Day: Pick Up
More terrific designs from this week’s highlighted designer, Alfredo H?§berli. I love this. Is it a chair? Well, today it is. Isn’t it cute?
The Swiss designer says, “When my son took his first steps and grabbed a stool to help him, I immediately saw what was needed. Pick Up is a combined chair, walking aid, travel and transport facility. Now that Luc can walk without any difficulty, the Pick Up has become his car, loaded down with all his books. And when he has visitors, he takes them for a ride in his Pick Up.”
Pick Up is manufactured by Offecct. You can find it at The Scandinavian Design Center where it sells for $569.71.
What would you store in this? I’d probably start out with a picture-perfect display of plants and things. But after time, when the plants have died, I’d probably drive it around the house to conveniently pick up all the junk (none of it mine, you understand). Then, I’d hide it in the closet. But that’s just me! How about you?
