Dell Studio
The brains here at Design Hole have been admiring Dell’s attempt to create a computer with some actual style. Dell Studio’s line of curvilinear CPUs are colorful and include Bamboo. So it’s green! [Insert jaundiced tone of voice here].
I guess I should be jumping up and down for design joy. Their new look is, I must say, a step in the right direction. Even if it is about 10 years too late. But I’m not jumping. Maybe a little hop. Reason? Let me tell you all about it in a song ….
Er, I’ll skip the song and just say that because Autodesk refuses to create a Mac version of AutoCad, I was forced to buy a Dell. It’s the only reason I use it. And I’ve had so many problems with that $%#! thing, I’d like to burn it, dancing wildly around the funeral pyre with a look of fiendish glee. But I can’t until AutoDesk sees the light. Go into the light already!
But I’m not bitter at all. Really.

I am a Mac guy, but these actually look really elegant and if I was in the market for a PC I’d definitely give these models some serious consideration. Apple figured out yrs ago that a computer is almost a piece of furniture and should be designed with elegance in mind, and like you say, it’s taken a long time for PC manufacturers to catch up.
