Emma Bridgewater
I started the day in Paris. Now I’m moving from ?ºber contemporary Italian design to England cottage. But I’m staying in the kitchen. Emma Bridgewater hails from the UK and designs traditional tableware with lots of patterns to choose from. Black Toast is a favorite.
These dishes would look great in a casual kitchen. I’m picturing painted cabinets, a great farmhouse table and caf?© curtains made from sewn together vintage tea towels. A fireplace would be nice.

My late step-father had towels, a shower curtain and bed linens that all had words on them, like this. He bought these in the 70′s. They were cream with black letter and said things like, “WET WET WET WET WET” or “DRY DRY DRY DRY” or “SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP.”
I always liked them. These plates give me nostalgia.
