Holiday Mart: Be There!
Tonight marks the 50th Anniversary of the Holiday Mart - an event that raises money for Planned Parenthood’s educational programs. I’m co-chair for the second year, and it’s going to be a great Mart. More than 30 vendors from all over the countries will be setting up shop for this weekend’s exciting event.
Who’s coming? Here’s a preview. Be forewarned - if you’re related to me you can’t read this! Christmas is coming.
Notable Greetings sells beautiful note cards and prints featuring floral photography. I love these! And the prices are great, too. I say, “One for you, one for me.”
Fellas, don’t cry. The Mart has plenty of merch for you, too. Cuff Links galore at Just Cuff Links. Don’t worry, it’s just Cuff Links! No girlie items here. Er, I actually own a couple of pairs.
There are just too many to name here. We’ve got beautiful, handmade pottery from Ellie Beans, funky gifts from City Bird, teapots from The Great Lakes Tea & Spice Company, clothes from all over the country, antiques, toys, children’s clothing. As I said, too many to name.
So come to The Grosse Pointe War Memorial this weekend to, not only help fund a worthy cause, but to get a head start on your holiday shopping.
The show runs from Friday through Sunday, at The War Memorial, which is located on Jefferson Ave., in Grosse Pointe Farms. Hours are 9:30 - 5:00 Friday and Saturday, and 12:00 - 5:00 on Sunday. The entrance fee is $5.00. I hope to see you there!
The Holiday Mart is held at The Grosse Pointe War Memorial, located on Lakeshore Drive, in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan.
