I Need A Vacation!

We’re in the midst of a blizzard here in Detroit. It’s beautiful. Even though I had to rescue the electrician, whose van got stuck in the snow, we’re enjoying the day. Thank goodness for snowblowers and for electricians who go to work on days like today.

While I do love a good snow storm, I enjoy the tropical sun a bit more, which is why I’m sharing some photos of beautifully decorated beds I’d like to sleep in while on vacation.

I love the color combination in this room. It’s not so matchy-matchy. Just nice and cosy.

I could definitely take a nap in this bed after a day spent on a sandy beach. I love, love, love this bed. And I love the colors.

I wonder if the stylist for this photo added the mosquito netting. It really frames the bed nicely, and doesn’t make it seem like it’s just stuck in the middle of the room.

I guess I’m attracted to bright colors, in general. On a trip to tropical places, they’re even more beautiful. See how the colors blend, but don’t match up? It gives the room a lot of depth and makes it less formal.

Then again, there’s nothing like white to show off your tan.

I’m looking forward to this eclectic mix of Central American laid back coziness. We’ll be travelling to Belize just after Christmas to stay at The Blancaneaux Resort. I hope those mosquito nets are just for show. :-)

Love your picks for this post, as I love colors.
Considering the furniture already in place, I might have my bedroom looking something like the fourth picture.
Really inspiring.
