Kitchen Sinks from Kohler

I think I’ve covered just about everything one could think of in a kitchen – except the kitchen sink. Excuse the tired joke. Sometimes I can’t resist. So what’s up when it comes to sinks? There are farm house styles, under-mounts, and over-mounts. There are even some rather oddly shaped sinks, which I admit confuse me. The list could go on and on.

Kohler was kind enough to send me these photos of some of their favorite styles. Let’s take a look, shall we?

This under-mount sink is from Kohler’s Life in the Country Collection. Cute!

Here, a Farm House style with a little twist. Kohler has added some color and the look of lace.

I like this over-mount style. It allows the sink to remain deep without taking up too much space in the cabinet underneath. Also, it’s an updated look.

This is the sink that I’m mystified over. It’s called The Swerve. It sure looks cool. But it also looks rather awkward to use. And you have need two faucets. I think these are designed for people who don’t cook but have lots of money to burn. Hey! That’s fine with me. Whatever floats your boat. Again, it looks great.

The Swerve looks like a splash distaster waiting to happen. Maybe the name means you have to swerve out of the way of the splashing water.

Misterarthur, once again we concur. Great minds think alike. I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s a bit perplexed.

But it does look nice. I guess it’s like fancy guest towels – it’s just for show.

Thanks Rachel. You read my mind. I usually don’t post on the weekends, but am going to start. But I slept in today! Egads, I’m late.

I first thought it was crazy for any actual sink usage, but then I wondered if the point was to bring the entire prep area within close proximity to a disposal sink.

You can brush you kitchen trimmings right into the sink quickly from almost any angle…

Just a thought.
