6 Weeks Of Giveaways! Domino’s Decorating Book
We’ve got only six weeks before Christmas and just five before the first night of Hanukkah arrives on December 11th. Better get those lists started! Make your first stop Design Hole. I’ve rustled up a pile of fantastic gifts and I’m giving them away – starting today.
First up is Domino’s Book of Decorating. This giveaway runs all week through Friday. I’ll announce the winner, chosen at random, on Saturday.

We were all so sad to see such a great magazine shut its doors. This book offers the best of their decorating how-to’s.

To enter, simply leave a comment under any of the Domino giveaway posts. I’d like to know what interior design subject you’d like to know more about. Is it color palettes? How to choose different fabric patterns that work together? More DIY projects? I’d love to know what you’re interested in.

Let me know your thoughts – long or short. The giveaway is open to anyone living in the contiguous United States and Canada. To avoid paying duty, I’ll ship it as a gift, because that’s what it is!

I would love hear your opinions on how to decorate for the holidays without looking cheesy or tacky.

I had just discovered Domino right as they stopped publishing the magazine. I was very sad to see it go.
I never get sick of seeing different color ideas. I love to see bold color choices and I enjoy seeing the types of colors people put together. It’s cool to see someone successfully put colors together that you would never think of!
I’m a huge fan of DIY projects too. Especially DIY projects that are space-savers, economical and aesthetically pleasing!

i always like space planning tips, as it’s hard for me to see how to arrange items, or what furniture pieces go with what. how to put a space together.
great contest- i’ve always loved Domino!

Oooh, I see floor plans! I love learning about furniture arrangement. I don’t quite have a great eye for it so I have to work it out using grid paper. So I love examples of floorplans!

I have a sad Domino story~ I rent a space at an Antique/Designer Mall in my town. I was a loyal Domino reader–obssesed to be exact. I also have a problem with hoarding shelter magazines! One day I decided to put all of my back issues of Domino out for sale at $1.00 a copy—this is before the publisher went bye-bye. All of my copies sold–Domino made the announcement–and now I am in mourning for all my Domino! I think they may be collector items ond day! :( Hope you feel better!

oo yay!
so to enter all i have to do is tell you what i’d like to learn/see?
I love windows and i think in a room they should be a “comfort spot” especially bedrooms. Unfortunately not all houses come with bay windows/seat windows and its expensive to get one built. I’d like to know your thoughts/ideas/ possibly a DIY project on how to make a window an attractive and comfortable spot to lounge in.
excited to hear your answer!

I would like to know more about color palettes and pulling a room together. I’m good at finding one great thing- be it the paint color or wallpaper but then my problem is making the rest of the room work with it!

That is a tragedy. I’m going to buy several copies of Met Home before it goes out of business. I mean several copies of each issue!
