9 Colorful Chandeliers
I love to play with color when I’m working on interior design projects. Mixing different styles together, along with color, creates a lot of depth and gives a home a lot of character – a sense of individuality.
A colorful chandelier is a great way to do this. Mix a colorful, classic chandelier with contemporary (or classic) furniture. Here are 9 options, in all price ranges, for your consideration. I’ve thrown in some styling inspiration.
The island of Murano, off the coast of Venice, is chandelier heaven. I love this teal color. This is from La Murrina.
Surrounding a teal chandelier with contrasting color creates a semi-focal point.
Glamour Green is a cool choice. Mix it with reds and other warm tones.
Or, go the other way and mix this orange shade with other jewel tones. This Ciatura 8-lamp chandelier is on sale for $1,588 at Y Lighting.
I love this red chandelier. I’m picturing it in a gray room with soft, wool curtains. You can find this at Murano Glass Chandeliers.
Read the rest after the jump. You won’t be sorry.
Who says you can’t hang a chandelier in an office?
This little cutie is from Gallery Lighting. It comes in lots of sizes and starts at around $125.
Does white count as a color? Yes! This is one of my favorites (I think they all are). It’s about $250 at Velvet.
This simple chandelier looks great in the library, dahling.
Do you like this fancy schmancy cobalt number? Hmm.. A little over the top, but the color is smashing. Find it at Alexander Westerhoff’s 1st Dibs shop for a mere $34,000.
Schonbeck has mixed clear with teal here. Not enough bling for me. But the color is beautiful.
Make your chandelier the focal point of the room. Don’t you love this antique Moroccan beauty?
Finally, a multi-colored chandelier from Velvet. I’d love to see this a mostly white room with pops of color.
Here’s a question for everyone. How do you feel about a chandelier over a bed? It’s a trend right now. But is it a trend you’d follow?

I want them all. Except that cobalt blue one. :)

Also, thanks for posting the picture of the teal chandelier in the room with dusky pink chairs and brown wallpaper. I wouldn’t have thought of combining teal with pinks/browns, but it seems to work beautifully.

That antique Moroccan chandelier is amazing. And the multi-color one is so fun…how about that in a teen girl’s bedroom? Cheers!

Excellent! Thanks for doing this…it’s really nice to know that I’m not alone on a lot of these things.

I love colorful chandeliers because they tastefully bring fun to a formal item.
I talked 2 years ago about a chandelier by the French maker Incidence. It is similar to the Velvet chandelier. If you are curious, go to http://bit.ly/xKDnM
