Adler’s “cruelty free” zebra rugs
Jonathan Adler receently introduced these “zebra” rugs. They retail for $875. Not exactly a recessionista price. But they come with a designer name.

I like many of Adler’s things, but I’m having a hard time picturing these looking good in a room. The first thing that comes to mind are these rugs, after a few years, keeping company with other cast-offs in a frat house.
Where do you see these? In a funky bedroom? As a wallhanging? What’s your vision?

I like the Union Jack. I could see it in a teenager’s bedroom or a bachelor pad.

LOVE the brit flag cruelty-free (whoo-hoo) zebra rug.
I am a big fan of mixing stuff up (as long as the stuff is HIGH quality–that’s really the key–doesn’t have to be expensive, you can get high quality things at flea markets).
Picture it in a linving/hangout/lounge room w/a natural-material floor, with perhaps a modern coffee table (w/some antique books by British authors and maybe a tiny vintage Big Ben statue on top of them–or, if you want to be ironic, books about the fall of the British empire) and a couple antique chairs w/solid velvet, or old black leather club chairs.

These are so gorgeous! I love the two bottom ones! Fantastic, unlike all the rest you see these days..Great blog btw:).

Maybe as a wall hanging. It doesn’t matter though as long as they are cruelty free. Last year I was in a customers house and she had one of those zebra rugs, but it was real and not cruelty free. I NEVER like to see that!
