Chair of the Day: Olivia Settee
I was looking at some things on Holly Hunt’s sample sale site. It promises, “Great deals!” I’m looking at sofas that cost more than $8,000 net. That’s $16,000 retail. And this is a deal? I really love her style, but that’s a lot of money.

Not a Holly Hunt sofa
Let’s start a list. Who do you know who considers a $16,000 sofa a deal? Hmmm… I can only think of people I don’t actually know.
This got my gumption going. So before we spend all our money on Christmas and Hanukkah gifts this Friday, I thought I’d focus on some very nice sofas that don’t cost a fortune. Sofas that aren’t IKEA’s Ektorp (the best inexpensive sofa ever).
We have here, Pottery Barn’s Olivia Sofette. I think they made up sofette. Anyway, this sofette comes in a variety of fabrics. I like this one. Price? A very affordable $1,149.00. You can easily get through your life going through several of these and never spend $16,000 on the lot.
Thoughts?

Love it – AND the price! Thanks for remembering that some (most?) of us reading design blogs have a budget!
