Chair of the Day: One Chair

Well, the day certainly got away from me. I’ve got a lot on my plate – more than I thought today – preparing to shut things down before surgery next week. At any rate, I’m here with an interesting chair of the day.

It’s another round of The Kitty Korner.

What say ye about The One Chair? It’s from Italy’s The Home Key. Whatever you have to say about the design (and you know I want to hear it), this is an object lesson in the reality that designing a good chair is a lot harder than it looks.

Straight back chairs with two (!) pads on the seat is bad design. Who cares if it looks good (it doesn’t). If you can’t sit in it, you’ve wasted your money.

It’s a Chair Fail, in my humble opinion.
