IKEA loves to be “inspired” by high end design. This used to drive me crazy. But I’ve been worn down. I think it’s like fashion. Very few people can afford the original. And most don’t even know they’re buying someone else’s design. But they get the look they’re after at a price that’s reasonable.
It’s a bit like Jasper Morrison’s Air Chair for Magis. And by a “bit” I mean a “lot.” But I like it, especially for a kid.
