Chair of the day: Vitra’s Tom Vac
Ron Arad designed this chair for Vitra. The Tom Vac chair is reminiscent of Donald Knorr’s Chair 132, which I wrote about last week.
I think the plastic shell is the more comfortable of the two styles. And this one comes in four colors. At around $315, it’s also affordable. You can find it at Highbrow Furniture.

I know it’s not your cup of tea, but did you see the mug caddy on the Father’s Day post for gifts from guys? I can see you with one of those on your desk. :-)

Well neither design is a lounge chair for goodness’ sake! Of course you can’t fall asleep in it!
I don’t think you should knock it until you try it. It’s really quite a great and comfortable chair.

Sorry Jennifer, I do like this one better because of the colors, but neither is my idea of comfort. Face it, nobody could fall asleep in either one!
