Friday Favorite: Style Room
Sorry I’m late today with the Friday Favorite. I want to thank Holly at Decor 8 for finding Style Room. It’s just like Houzz – a site where you can load up photos of your house or your portfolio to share with everyone. Style Room hails from the UK.

I am working on a room for two girls who want vastly different colors, but both of which are in that chair. So those photos give me really great ideas.

You’re a creative person, Nikki. Why not design the room using both colors with a third – in blocks. Then, design your own fabric with all three colors to make pillows that tie it all together? You can design your own fabric, from scratch, at Spoonflower.

Re: Spoonflower- Oh wow… That is brilliant. After browsing, I discovered they have a flickr group, too.
They like purple and orange and each one wants 1 wall painted that shade. I managed to find a color suggestion card in the paint area at Lowe’s which had two colors that were in the purple and orange families and that don’t end up looking like Halloween decor.
Those are beautiful.
