Jonathan Adler Diffusers
I’d really like to know your opinion on diffusers. Do you like them? I’m on the fence. I used to think they were totally ick. I guess because I don’t want to foist my idea of a nice scent onto everyone in my home. But I’m beginning to think they’re not so bad.

I use scented candles because I can turn them off. As long as they’re in a small space like a powder room, the scent is enclosed. And diffusers are looking rather smart these days. I like this style from Jonathan Adler. ($68.00).
Let’s have a show of hands. Diffusers: bliss or blech.

I vote “bliss”! When I was in NY, I bought a diffuser from Sabon (http://sabonnyc.com/) and was pleasantly surprised that the scent was so faint and gentle, but lasted forEVER. Flip the little sticks over and you can start all over again. It was a little pricey at first, but well worth it in the end. Plus, candles seem to leave black haze on everything in my house. Even when the wicks are short.

I hadn’t thought of the chemical thing. I always buy the high-end candles because the low-end type smell like scented wax and are ugly. Plus, their scents are disgusting – apple cinnamon or green apple. Blech.
You both make great points about the black haze thing. I’m now a changed woman.

I used to be ugghh about them but there are now such a great range of scents.
I actually just bought one for my bathroom in a green tea citrus scent and it smells great!

I’m sold! I was looking for a diffuser last weekend. But didn’t find one that appealed to me yet. Stay tuned. I see a post coming up!

I’m usually not a fan of scents in the house as most commonly they are made fron carcinogens…aka bad chemicals. W/ alot of scented candles being made from these chemical scents, they become more toxic as they burn and then you inhale them…..a problem. I love natural essential oil candles. I don’t know if they make natural essential oil scents sticks w/ out carcinogenic chemicals.
