Photography by misterarthur
Did you know that misterarthur is not just an expert on hotel hallways, cycling through Detroit, and across Spain? He’s also a pretty good photographer. He took these snaps of the marsh on Sunset Beach, a small island off the southern coast of North Carolina.

These photos decorate the living space of our beach house, Chum Bucket. I’m sitting in The Bucket right now – sprucing things up for summer renters.

Photography is an excellent way to decorate a room inexpensively. Take your photos to Kinko’s and have them print them on their large format printer. I framed these in Ribba frames from IKEA.

I saturated the colors on Photoshop. You can play with the styles, too. Turn your photo into a watercolor. Print it out on watercolor paper to make it look authentic.

It’s a little cold today, which is the only thing keeping me on task and off the beach. It’s beautiful! Endless sand and not many people.

It’s also a long, skinny island with the beach on one side and the intra-coastal waterway on the other (hence the marsh). The beach is always a short walk or bike ride away no matter where your house sits.
And now, back to work.
