Oh my darling Auntie, how well I remember shopping at LL Bean at 1:00 in the morning back in the days when it was all sporting goods. We “preppies” discovered their Bleucher mocs and made them famous. Now they’re no longer open 24-7. :-( I also remember wearing a down vest on a trip to England and people laughed – they thought it was a life preserver.

Hmmmm Have you been shopping in my record collection ???? I still have my 78′s, and LP’s, and THAT South Pacific album. Love Ray Conniff too. Can’t enter the Lilly Pulitzer gift give away, as ‘original’ preppies from the mid 50′s, didn’t have preppy names. (and overlook the family reunion) Of course we didn’t know we were preppy until our daughters started wearing it. Come to think of it, I now have some Rod Stewart, as he’s remaking some of the good stuff. :0)
