Worldwide decoration: Fuse Interiors

What are designers from around the world doing? Has the Internet been successful in homogenizing us? Sounds like a thought for Alain de Botton to contemplate.

Meanwhile, let’s enjoy the work of Irish interior designer, Danielle MacInnes. Her company, Fuse Interiors, is located in Dublin. Last year she won the award for “Best Newcomer” at Ireland’s “Interior Design 2008“.

I thought it would be fun to start a casual series on my fellow designers.

I love this contemporary space. This floor is gorgeous. And I like the fresh, white color.

Danielle, like me, works with all sorts of styles. Most of us do. Here’s a look at a Victorian townhome she designed.

I like this sort of vignette for a portfolio. I’ve got to add that to my idea book. It’s good when your camera can’t fit in the entire room.

A mix of the old and the new creates dimension and gives a room a personal appeal.

This kitchen looks very American, don’t you think? Or do our homes look Irish? Well, we both speak the same language (sort of).
