Chair of the Day: Antique Slat Back Chair from Etsy Daily Memorandum
One of these days I’ll be opening my own Etsy shop selling vintage items and handmade home accessories. To whet your appetite for la vintage, may I give you this beauty for your consideration? This antique farmhouse chair is from Daily Memorandum ($70.00). It looks blue to me, but apparently, it was once green. I think it’s very charming.
A quick tip on antiques. If the finish is original, and the piece has some value, don’t touch it! A lot of the value comes from the original paint or varnish. Even if it’s not in perfect condition. My mother once made the mistake of removing the original paint from a 200 year-old captain’s chest. She’s still crying, poor thing.
