Hello! I am a Detroit-based interior designer, freelance journalist, and the founder and editor of Design Hole.

Design Hole was launched in 2007.  My site is dedicated to sharing my professional point of view on the world of interior design. It’s designed to inspire busy women (like me!) to discover their individual sense of style. I hope the tips and ideas will inspire my readers to find the confidence to create a home you’ll love to live in.

Design Hole readers will find insider information on home décor, color trends, new products, how-to projects, and lots of tips and advice. I also cover trade shows, product and book reviews, and emerging trends. I keep it fun with contests and giveaways.

I also cover one of my passions – travel. I write reviews on hotels and restaurants from around the world. Oh, and when the weather is nice, I’m out in the garden.

Celebrating good design doesn’t have to be complicated. Design Hole is also about keeping it easy for you. We are all short on time. You don’t have to spend ages or tons of money to create a  home that makes you smile every time you walk in your front door. And, as a friend of mine says, “there is no shame in not doing everything yourself.”

Design Hole is a collection of things and ideas that I like. Therefore, you cannot buy editorial coverage on this site.

In the course of my work, I RECEIVE FREE SAMPLES of products and books to review. The samples enable me to see how a product looks, works, etc… in the real life. I love reviewing new products, however, the fact that I received a sample doesn’t guarantee that I’ll write about it. I always inform my readers that I received the product at no cost to me. I always write my honest opinion. A free sample is no guarantee of a good review.
