Chair of the Week: Cappelini’s Eco Fish
This week’s chair is a lot of fun. It’s a Cappelini & Walt Disney Signature collection Eco Fish designed by Satyendra Pakhalé, an Indian born, Swiss & Dutch raised designer who has backgrounds at Philips and Frog Design. You may already be familiar with his Fish Chair. This version is an even more whimsical version, made completely of recycled plastic. (So you’ll feel good about sitting in it). I thought a bit of fun color would brighten up the shortening days of fall. If you’d like to get one, remember, there are only 99 pieces available worldwide.

Chair of the Day: Grange’s Salisbury Chaise
Yay! Chair of the Day is back where it should be. Front and center. Please excuse me if I don’t get to it every single day. Things are busy here at Design Hole World Headquarters. :-)
Today’s selection is from Grange. They make exquisite furniture – hand crafted I might add. Their Salisbury Chaise looks terrific in this crushed raspberry velvet, doesn’t it? It gives the traditional style a more contemporary feel. This actually reminds me of the chaise Betty Draper put in her living room on last season’s Mad Men. Don’t you think?
Okay, so what’s your opinion of a chaise? Is it something you’d like to have but wouldn’t spend the money on? Does it seem to frou frou for your style? What room would you put one in? I’d choose a bedroom (of course) or a living/family room. But please, not in front of the fireplace. Opinions?
Tuesday Morning Review: RoomJuice, An Online Interior Design Service

When I received an announcement about a new design service called RoomJuice, I couldn’t resist the chance to take their service for a test drive. Fortunately, they graciously agreed to show off their design prowess, gratis, using the same room as another online service used in a previous review. RoomJuice is owned by designers Susie Case and Kristen Alagna. They offer four design packages, starting with an accessory makeover for $49 and ending with an entire room design for $199. You take measurements and photos, they put together a design using your things plus items available online. Read More…
