Okay, here’s my actual Friday Favorite. And it’s a fabulous favorite. I’m in love with this Turquoise Chandelier from the brilliant mind of Marjorie Skouras. The fixture measures 34″ x 22″ high. To purchase, contact your designer or contact me.
What can I say? To me, it’s perfection.

Yowza! It’s been a long, busy week. So I’m going to ask you to help me with something on my To-Do list. It’s time to order Christmas Cards and I can’t decide which photo to use. I’m going to order them through MOO (my total fave for business cards and creative fun). I thought I’d also order some little Moo cards with a family photo. I can slip that inside the larger card.
I could use all three photos (taken by misterarthur), but I prefer to use just one so I associate 2008 with that card. I get confused.
So which one should it be? Will you help me decide? You can help me out by leaving your vote in the comment space.
Thank for helping me out. To vote, just click on the comment link. Thanks again! Thanks!
These could be fun. The snowflake pendants, from 2 Jane, don’t look like snowflakes to me - more like genetically-challenged sea urchins. But they’re pretty, and that’s really all that matters.
The shades measure 24″ wide by 15″ tall. Hang two over a large table, or use them as bedside pendants. Just one would be good if the table isn’t too large. Again, you can find them at 2 Jane, where they sell for $48. That’s just for the shade. They offer a plug-in ceiling fixture and a hardwire version for $20 and $16, respectively.
This new Savannin Collection, from Marimekko, was designed by Nora Fleming with children in mind. I say, “Gimme.” There’s nothing juvenile about this pattern. I love the color combination. And I love giraffes. I’m not one of those people who has a house filled with accessories devoted to their favorite animal, but I still like them. The giraffes, I mean.
The collection, which also includes aprons and purses, can be found at Always Mod - a site devoted to all things Marimekko. The throw pillow is 50cm x 50cm and sells for $32. The towels (with reverse colors on the back) come in two sizes. The bath is $37, and the hand is $16.
Got a favorite of your own? Send it to me. Meanwhile, enjoy your Friday.
These tables from Offecct are too cute. They’re called (appropriately) Amazonia. The tables have two tops for the price of one. Exciting! They’re made of green lacquered metal and are sold in sets consisting of three tables.
Parts of the proceeds from the Amazonas nesting tables support The Children’s Rainforest, preserving rainforests in Central America.
I have a graphic designer friend who would love one of these trays from Carolina Cottage. These decoupaged beauties are made of wood, measure 9-1/2″x6″ and are covered in a variety of papers.

You can find then at her Etsy Shop where they sell for $21.00 each.
Have you used art photography as a means of decorating? I’m using it more and more in my projects. Compared with original numbered prints, photographic prints offer a less expensive way to complete a room with real style. One resource I particularly like is the work of photographer Olya Sanakoev.
Olya makes her home in Toronto, Canada and has been taking digital images with her trusty digital camera since 2001. As Olya says, “I shoot only digital - not because I don’t like film, but because I shoot for myself, and I like it this way. Photography is fun for me, and I hope that my photographs reflect that fun and joy in life. I think the world is beautiful, and I want to show that. Essentially, I like things that are pretty. Perhaps that’s no deep point, but we all enjoy beauty.”
Outside of photography and world traveling (seriously envious of that), Olya pursues an eclectic life. She holds a double major in Computer Science and Cognitive Science from the University of Toronto. She also writes a blog about knock-off furniture called (appropriately) Knockoffs.
Visit Olya’s site to see more of her beautiful images. You can purchase them in varying sizes. All her photographs are printed on high quality photographic paper. Her prices are as follows: $30 for 8″x12″, $50 for 16″x24″, and $70 for a 20″x30″.

My favorite find this week is Moroso’s Little Garden café table. The designer is Tokujin Yoshioka. It’s so cute.

It would be easy to create this look yourself, and a great decoration for a garden party. Simply surround your garden table with pots of tall flowers. Don’t forget to water them!
