Friday Favorite: Art & Photos by Marc Loret
I can’t remember how I came across Marc Loret, but I was immediately attracted to his photography. Let’s take a peek.

Marco lives and works in France where he pursues his two passions: photography and nature. Many of his photos are of the natural world. He sells his work at his Etsy shop. Standard size prints are 6″ x 6″ and sell for $9.00. You can order larger prints as well.

I suggest buying several and grouping them. Buy three – one in a larger size and two in the same. Mat and frame them and you’ve got a lovely wall.
When Marc isn’t taking photos, he’s creating his own illustrations on vintage books.

You can find these at his other Etsy shop. Most prints sell for about $10.50.
Chair of the Day: Demacker’s HM59 Lounge
German designer, Matthias Demacker, will be introducing additions to his HM59 chair at the Sleep Event in London later this winter.

His side chair will be joined by a barstool and this soft and simply styled lounge chair. Lovely.
Friday Favorite: Alessi La Stanza dello Scirocco Basket
This basket is a true thing of beauty from Alessi. The Scirocoo basket is made of polished stainless and comes in several sizes. It retails for $100.00

I don’t know if I could bring myself to put anything in it – it’s too beautiful by itself. Some beautiful pears perhaps. Really, letting it stand on its own as a centerpiece, or as a decorative piece on a dresser or other table would be nice.
Friday Favorite: Helen Beard Ceramics
Helen Beard is a watercolor and ceramics genius. I adore her work.
What’s not to love? Her work is one-of-a-kind.
I’m scooting out the door to a client meeting. I’m working on her kitchen right now and am looking for accessories, like these, to dress the room. The project is winding up, so I’m looking forward to having a bit more time to write more posts. Stay tuned.
Friday Favorite: Girl’s Guide to Decorating
I bought Abigail Ahern’s A Girl’s Guide to Decorating ($27.00 from Amazon) and have enjoyed reading through it. Abigail’s approach to decorating is highly creative and quirky. Her message? You don’t need tons of money to create a space that’s uniquely your own.

She offers advice on space planning and has lots of hot-to’s such as how to hang a mirror, make a shelf, and recycle things to make them cool – just to name a few. Her interiors are highly individual. You won’t find the same old formal rooms here. If you’re interested in learning how to mix things up you’ll enjoy A Girl’s Guide – even if you’re a boy.
A little PS: we bloggers have been told that we have to state when we’ve received a product as a gift. This was not. I paid cash money and bought it from Amazon.
