Friday Favorite: Girl’s Guide to Decorating

I bought Abigail Ahern’s A Girl’s Guide to Decorating ($27.00 from Amazon) and have enjoyed reading through it. Abigail’s approach to decorating is highly creative and quirky. Her message? You don’t need tons of money to create a space that’s uniquely your own.

She offers advice on space planning and has lots of hot-to’s such as how to hang a mirror, make a shelf, and recycle things to make them cool – just to name a few. Her interiors are highly individual. You won’t find the same old formal rooms here. If you’re interested in learning how to mix things up you’ll enjoy A Girl’s Guide – even if you’re a boy.

A little PS: we bloggers have been told that we have to state when we’ve received a product as a gift. This was not. I paid cash money and bought it from Amazon.

Chair of the Day: Abigail Ahern’s Armchair

Ah, Velvet Armchair. Would a chair by any other name look as sweet? (You may quote me.)

abigail-ahernInterior Designer and retailer, Abigail Ahern, says, “It injects instant personality into any room.” I couldn’t agree more. There’s something about the curvilinear lines of this comfy chair that¬† surpass most other armchairs of this sort. Don’t you think? You can find this at Abigail’s London Atelier. She also has a less expensive line at The Shop at Bluebird, also in London. Their site isn’t up as of today, but check back in a few.

Abigail has just published a book featuring her unique (and wonderful) interiors. You can find a copy of A Girl’s Guide to Decorating at Amazon.

I hope to have a copy for a giveaway soon. Want one? Add your name here and I’ll send the list to Abigail’s press agent.
