Photographic Interior Design Inspiration: Often Better Than “Art”
I have never really considered myself a serious collector of anything. However, I suppose over time I have become an accidental one. More and more I find myself drawn to photography. It’s the section I stop at first during the College for Creative Studies’ Spring Show. (You have to get there early to nab the good stuff.) My sister-in-law just returned from a photographic vacation in Read More…
Helen Musselwhite’s Cut Paper Artwork
Sorry to be posting so late. I’m in the midst of writing up purchase orders for a project I’m working on. In the spirit of the occassion, I thought I’d feature the cut “paperwork” of artist, Helen Musselwhite.
Helen, working from her UK studio, cuts paper elements and arranges them to create three-dimensional works of art. She has an obvious love of owls.
Her work is perfect for a nursery. I’d place one on a stand and place it on shelves or the dresser of baby’s room.
These would also look perfect in a small cottage. Make it part of a grouping. Or hang it on a small wall, so it makes the most impact.
I like these especially. A little girl’s room would be happier with one of these on the wall.
To do own a little cabin near a lake? Helen’s woodland scenes would look splendid there.
Any of these would make a unique and memorable gift. Who wouldn’t love to hang that Owlphabet in their nursery?
Helen Musselwhite’s work comes in several sizes. You can order directly from her. Prices seem to range from $53 to $150 and depend on the size an complexity. She does custom work as well.
Creative Gifts Using Moo Cards
Have you discovered Moo Cards? I use them as business cards – everyone asks where I got them. They’re inexpensive and, best of all, you can upload your own images. Order 100 cards and each one can be different, or all the same. There are so many creative uses for them and here’s one I especially admire.

Artist, Luisa Vidal makes bookmarks and magnets which she sells at her Etsy Shop, Fashion Fuschia. Cute!

She also makes note cards and buttons featuring her very appealing illustrations. I thought you’d enjoy this little peek at her work.
