A fortuitous find

Just a small note here. We unexpectedly ran into an exhibit of San Patrignano’s works.

sanpa front

San Patrignano is the world’s largest drug rehabilitation community. They do a wonderful job teaching recovering addicts useful skills. I became familiar with the organization via their excellent bicycle frames. What’s interesting about their bike frames is that they were taught by some of the world’s greatest people in bikedom like master bicycle designer Andrea Pesenti and cult frame builder Dario Pegoretti.

Now they’ve turned their attention to Interiors. While their exhibit was as much about the organization as their wares, they showed off a pouf with very nice fabric. Behind it is a sculpture that showed the different materials and finishes they can apply to surfaces. While this may not be the most earth shattering thing at the show, San Patrignano is a great organization that deserves your approbation.

Reisenthel Bike Basket

I have to buy this bike basket. I love a basket on my bike, even though Arthur tells me it’s dorky. Well, I proudly accept my dorkdom. Bring on the Reisenthel Bike Basket!

I Miss My Bike

Now that my hip is all fixed I can soon get back on my bike and ride! Well, it’s not a Harley. You have to pedal it, but I miss it. I think it needs this accessory. Don’t you? My husband says baskets are for pussies. I say, “Meow!”

The Carrie Bike Basket was inspired by the designer’s Swedish memories of crocheted tablecloths. You can find it at Relish for $49.00.
