The Alturas armchair makes a great occasional chair. All it needs is a cushion to dress it up a little. The price? It regularly sells for $2,090. It’s on sale, along with its brothers, for $500. That’s a real bargain.

Chair of the day: Payette Bench

I’m working on a kitchen project right now. It’s a fun mix of contemporary elements with antiques – my favorite. I came across this wonderful bench on my design search. It’s the Payette Bench, from The Farmhouse Collection.

It needs a cushion, but I like the subtle decoration and its beat-up look.
