“Jennifer“, you ask, “How can I use these fabulous decals?” Ideas!

These are perfect for students (returning to college in just a few weeks). Stick one on a door. Announce coming attractions, your current state of affairs, or a daily quote. Need a study break? Place the set above your desk and doodle away. For those of us raising children, these are great for babysitter messages, instant art and a “keep out” sign on any teenager’s door.

How Do I Enter?

Okay, enough very basic ideas of my own. I want to hear yours. Which decal set do you want and what would you do with it? Be creative. Come up with an idea no one else would ever think of. Get crazy. Then, leave me a comment with your choice and your inspiring decal idea.

The cabin’s journey from Beardstown, Illinois to Elkhorn, Wisconsin, where Tereasa and her family live live in a restored sumer camp, is related. Along the way she provides lots of tips on how to haul a house across the interstate – how to deal with height restrictions and how to pump gas (personally, I hope I never have to figure that out).

Tereasa did a wonderful job restoring this little gem. It now lives by a lovely lake where it’s used as a guest house. I’m packing my bags, Tereasa! It’s not just about your dining room table. It’s about collecting, and designing tabletops of all shapes and sizes. If you like vintage things, collections, things from France, you will find this book very inspirational. I’m raving about it because I’ve learned a lot from it.

My design weakness is styling tabletops. If I have lots of stuff to play with, I can do a great job. But shopping here and there is a real skill. You have to remember the scale of things you saw before. And then you find some new thing that gets you going in a whole new direction. I’m focusing on imporving things in this area and I found The Vintage Table to be a good start.

Don’t worry! I haven’t licked the pages. It’s new.
