From The Salone: Kartell’s Bloom Pendant Light

I have been following events from afar and will be highlighting a few of my favorites. Let’s kick things off with Kartell’s Bloom pendant light designed by Ferruccio Laviani. Yummy. Read More…
Chair of the Day: Kartell’s FPE Chair
This is the perfect chair for your mother-in-law, or any other guest who’d you prefer to keep their visits short. Thanks, Kartell, for designing the FPE chair!
I’m reminded of an old Paul Simon song, Slip Slidin’ Away.
And on that happy note, I hope to see you all back here on Monday! Have a terrific weekend.
Chair of the day: Kartell’s Frilly
Who here likes plastic chairs – raise your hands. I didn’t raise mine. Even though this chair was designed by my idol, Patricia Urquiola (we met last April, so we’re practically BFFs).

Frilly is made by the Plastic Chair King, Kartell. Actually, it’s made of¬† transparent polycarbonate. Whatever. It’s new (!) and sells for about $300. It also comes in a variety of colors. You can buy it at Hive Modern.
So would you? Will you? I’d rather have wood.
