Chair of the day: Moroso’s Diesel sofa
Ah, time for a “relaxment”, as my son used to say. It’s been a long week here in Baltimore where I’m taking care of my mother. She has a set-back in her macular degeneration.
Moroso designed Diesel as a less formal collection of seating for those of us who need a good relaxment from time to time. It reflects our more casual lifestyles. You can check out the entire line by following this link.
By the way, I’ll be out all day tomorrow, but back to regular posting on Monday. Thanks for hanging in there with me.
Chair of the day: Moroso’s Bohemian
This chair was designed by my fave, Patricia Urquiola, for Moroso. It’s called Bohemian.

I hate to say this, but I think this chair is ICK! What’s your opinion?
Chair of the day: Moroso’s Shadowy Chair
The Shadowy Deckchair evokes the beach furniture found at the North Sea in Northern Europe in the twenties. Remember?
Tord Boontje created Shadowy, and its companion lounger, for Moroso. They’re woven by expert African craftsmen using colored plastic threads. Shadowy has curious ruffles in the end parts, in the armrests and backrest that turn into a parasol cover.
The chairs look a bit like something from a Tim Burton movie. Don’t you think? Love it.
Hits from Salone del Mobile
I’m not in Milan this year – the hip can’t go. But the rest of my (and you) can still get a first look at the new stuff. Here are some of my favorites so far.
Tom Dixon’s Utility series.
Donuts, by Edward Van Vielt for Moroso.
Tailored Chair by Nika Zupanc for Moroso.
Lots more to come over the next few days. Stay tuned.
