Quatrefoil from Maharam

I have to share a fabric I’m in love with. It’s Quatrefoil, from Maharam. It was designed in 1954 by the amazing Alexander Girard. The fabric comes in a variety of colorways. My favorite is the pink.

I’m working on a bedroom for a client and was really hoping she would choose this option. But, alas, her husband considered it too flowery. Perfectly understandable. But now I’m itching to find somewhere else to use this. Too bad my own bedroom doesn’t need sprucing up. But then again…

Blue, pink & green colorway

Teal, green & silver colorway

Purple, blue & teal colorway

Pink, brown & Orange colorway
My favorite! Doesn’t someone out here need this?

Anyone can access their site, but only designers can order samples. To see Quatrefoil, go to search and type in the name. Prices are net, not retail.

Leather Wall & Floor Tiles from Blackstock

Here’s a great resource. Blackstock Leather has created leather tiles for installation on both walls and floors. They’re magnetic, so if a tile needs to be cleaned or replaced, it’s easy to do so.
The tiles are made from vegetable-tanned cowhide, the same material used for shoe soles. The tiles come in 14 colors, and a variety of shapes and sizes. The look is warm and sophisticated.
